The fall armyworm (Spodoptera frugiperda Smith) is a polyphagous pest that causes significant damage to turf and cereal crops across the globe. Recently, the larvae were found to contain high levels of the plant hormones that are capable of affecting plant defense responses. In this webinar, I will be discussing my research showing how sequestration modified by gut microbes acts as a mechanism for plant hormone acquisition.
