Adventures in Tick Collecting

There are over 800 species of tick. In general, they come in two varieties:  hard ticks and soft ticks. Jim will discuss the different types of ticks, their biology and ecology as he takes us on a tour of his tick collecting adventures. A portion of the lecture will focus on pathogen transmission by ticks as well. The slide show will be jam packed with photographs for your visual enjoyment.
